SydStrong is blessed to bring smiles to young adults with leukemia. This wish was unlike anything we could have imagined thanks to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson!
LOGAN

Logan is a remarkable young man from Dardanelle, Arkansas, whose strength, resilience, and positive spirit inspire everyone who knows him.
Born with Down Syndrome, Logan has faced significant medical challenges throughout his life. In addition to Down syndrome, he has been diagnosed with a rare terminal autoimmune disorder called NEMO, which severely affects his immune system, as well as liver disease, ectodermal dysplasia, and early-stage chronic renal failure.
Despite these obstacles, Logan has always approached life with optimism, kindness, and determination. His family and friends describe him as someone with a huge heart who loves everyone he meets.
Logan’s journey has included difficult personal losses and multiple battles with cancer. After overcoming leukemia as a child, his family celebrated what they hoped would be a lasting victory. During that time, Logan also supported his stepfather, TJ, through his own cancer diagnosis and recovery.
In November 2024, Logan received another life-changing diagnosis: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Since then, he has remained under the care of his oncology team and continues to undergo treatment and medical supervision. Throughout his health challenges, including several life-threatening situations, Logan has remained incredibly positive, often reassuring those around him by saying, “It’s all right. I’m going to be fine.”
One of Logan’s greatest sources of inspiration is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Logan admires The Rock’s strength, perseverance, and positive attitude. He enjoys dressing like his hero and dreams of one day meeting him in person.
Today, Logan continues to inspire everyone around him with his courage, faith, and unwavering optimism. His greatest wish is to meet The Rock and share the story of how much his example has helped him through some of the most difficult moments of his life.
Logan met his hero, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, on July 7, 2026 at the Moana premiere in Los Angeles.
From Teri, Logan’s Mom:
Receiving a wish from SydStrong through Nik’s Wish has meant so much to Logan and our family. Logan has long wondered why we can’t just call up The Rock and ask where he got his outfit we saw on Instagram. He desperately wanted to be his friend. He has also drawn strength from his hero battle after battle leading to win after win. For his family, we cherish the memories that we know are already in limited supply. Day to day living and memories are already important and we know to soak in the small moments. But to have such a once in lifetime trip like this holds so much more value knowing we were all together and seeing Logan live this dream before our eyes. Logan was trembling and mesmerized awaiting his turn to speak to the man he, metaphorically, long looked up to and would soon be literally looking up at. Many of us couldn’t hold back tears as we watched them interact like they had known each other for way longer than the minutes of reality we were living. At many points throughout this trip, I would step back and just take in the moment watching them laugh together and occupy the same space , which isn’t often with grown kiddos. The reality is this probably will never happen again and that isn’t lost on any of us. We often just looked at each other and said “Is this seriously happening right now?!”, as yet another surprise added icing to an already richly sweet cake. I could utilize every word in Webster’s and still not adequately describe the excitement, gratitude and absolute JOY this trip gave Logan. Moments we know would NEVER have been afforded to an unknown family from a tiny town of 3500 in the rural farmlands of Arkansas. Logan said when he is done with cancer he wants to do this again and we know that even WHEN he beats this disease, there will never be another trip like this one.
Teri continued to address Mr. Johnson, The Rock, DJ: what I wish I had said in my jumble of words, was how, from one parent to another, I thank you from the deepest part of my soul for giving Logan strength and encouragement to live and fight this horrible disease. Your positivity, pride and genuine spirit shine into screens and sometimes pour into others in ways you can’t know until a moment like July 7, 2026. When a kid from nowhere Arkansas shows up beaming and saying he’s as strong as you. In your true humble nature, you tell him he’s stronger. THAT is the why he loves you. That is what makes you successful. Positivity breeds positivity and sir, you’re completely engulfed. Your gentleness and generosity with Logan will never be forgotten. He won’t live to be an old man but he strives to be a good one like you. I’ll take that quality in his life especially since I won’t get the quantity Logan truly deserves.
You all embody what humanity should strive to be. You deserve the best the world has to offer. We extend our deepest gratitude to you all and the team of people who put this together.
Finally, Syd Strong, there would be no other thank yous without you. No matter how many mountain were moved, we can’t do much without the generosity you provide. The ultimate thanks to you ♥️
